Registered Dietitian 2 – Universities

Sodexo has an exciting opportunity for a Full-time year-round Registered Dietitian 2 – Universities for Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. The Campus Registered Dietitian is responsible for nutrition education and promotion of nutritional programs through presentations, social media, and other outreach efforts with respect for the varying needs of the diverse population we serve. Occasional evenings and weekends are required based upon event demands and during critical times of the year.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

• conduct educational events across the campus and create regular communications intended to motivate and engage the population in healthy eating habits;
• provide guidance, meal recommendations and support to students who have dietary restrictions;
• promote nutritional awareness through newsletters, social media, sampling and events;
• collaborate with operations teams to develop wellness programs and menus for resident dining, athletics and retail locations;
• deliver presentations as needed to support client goals.

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who:

• are a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and LMNT
• hold a Master’s Degree or completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND);
• have experience working in a College or University setting, preferred;
• have Eating Disorders experience, preferred;
• have strong presentation and public speaking skills; and/or
• have a commitment to continued education in the nutrition field and implementation of new and innovative ideas to implement.

Management and Functional Experience:

• have basic management experience: basic experience coordinating the work of others (4 to 6 months);
• have basic functional experience: experienced practitioner (2-3 years); ability to work with minimal supervision.
