The Registered Dietitian will create nutrition plans to improve the health and physical conditions of seniors. Their main duties include analyzing seniors’ health status, goals and dietary restrictions, tracking seniors’ dietary intake and progress, and educating the seniors on how to maintain a balanced diet.

· Demonstrating impeccable analytical skills when assessing senior nutrition.

Key Responsibilities:
· Build meal plans that follow the seniors’ dietary restrictions and improve their health.
· Work closely with seniors to understand their dietary needs, preferences and goals.
· Continuously monitor the seniors’ progress and update their nutrition plans accordingly.
· Conduct regular research to stay informed on the latest food and health updates.
· Design new seniors’ diets and delivery methods.
· Develop solutions for any challenges that malnourishment poses.
· Keep track of what has or hasn’t worked for a senior, this critical to providing proper meal plans.
· Educate seniors on the importance of cleanliness of their preparation, utensils, and cooking space.
· Maintain accurate and detailed documentation regarding each senior in the program.
· Home visits may be necessary to ensure a senior understands the importance of their nutrition.
Requirements:
· A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university with a major course of study in human nutrition, food and nutrition, dietetics, or an equivalent major course of study.
· Passed the registration examination for dietitians.
· Excellent oral and written English skills are required. Fluent Bilingual abilities are beneficial.
· The ability to pass a Nebraska State Patrol criminal background check.
· A valid driver’s license is required.
· Experience working with multicultural seniors is preferred.
· The ability to sit, stand, kneel, crouch, for a long period of time, or lift up to 45 lbs.
Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Salary Range $ 68,000 to $72,000 exempt position.
