Lincoln Surgical Hospital is an innovative healthcare leader in providing exceptional surgical services for our patients. Our dedicated physicians and staff strive to achieve optimal surgical outcomes in a patient focused atmosphere. We are looking for a Dietary Supervisor to join our team.

Hours: Full time, 80 hours per pay period (2 weeks), Monday – Friday with occasional weekends based on department and patient need.

The Dietary Supervisor supplies the general nutritional needs of the patients and physicians under sanitary conditions as directed and in accordance with established policies and procedures and State regulations.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

Verifies that nutritional needs are being met in accordance with the recognized dietary practices and in accordance with orders of the practitioner responsible with the care of the patient.
Provides sufficient variety of foods served in adequate amounts at each meal to satisfy recommended dietary allowances.
Completes inventory and places orders for food and supplies.
Ensures meal times and schedules are kept.
Clean and maintain all areas of food preparation and services.
Checks and verifies orders in a timely manner.
Supervisor responsibilities include the selection and hiring of staff in coordination with Human Resources, training, scheduling, assigning work, conducting performance appraisals, initiating corrective action, terminating, coaching, and staff development.
Develop and maintain departmental policies, objectives, goals, processes, and procedures.
Serves as a resource and technical expert to employees to provide information, explain procedures/processes, and answer questions.
Complete bi-weekly payroll approvals, monitor overtime, time off, and attendance.


High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Registered Dietitian or Dietetic Technician Registered considered, but not required.
Food Handler & Food Protection Manager Permit required at the time of hire.
Must obtain BLS within sixty (60) days of employment.
At least two years of experience in food handling or food preparation.
