Job Responsibilities

Runs the day-to-day operations. Management of food service employees is key responsibility – scheduling, hiring, employee relations and performance management.

Nutrition consulting, meal planning, inventory control, budgeting and purchasing.

Should expect to interact with numerous employees and residents on a daily basis; communication and customer service are important functions of this position.

Be able to work longer than an eight-hour workday and put in more than 40 hours during a typical workweek. Will be expected to work on weekends and on-call when necessary.

Expect an on-your-feet, fast-paced, high-stress environment. Also, occupational hazards are prevalent in the food service industry.

License: CDM (Certified Dietary Manager)
