School Nutrition Asst. Director/Dietitian

Grand Island Public Schools Nutrition Services is seeking a dedicated School Nutrition Dietitian to oversee and coordinate our food and nutrition programs. This role is crucial in ensuring our students receive healthy, nutritious meals that support their academic success and overall well-being.

Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Nutrition Services Director, assists with the following:

• Develop and implement comprehensive nutrition plans.
• Oversee daily operations of school cafeterias.
• Educate students, staff, and parents about healthy eating.
• Manage food service budgets and ensure efficient operations.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary food preparation environment.
• Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and community groups.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8 hours a day

Pay: 

$28-$36 per hour based on work history/experience

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field
• Registered Dietitian (RD) or RD eligible
• Experience in school nutrition and management
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Passion for promoting healthy eating and child nutrition
